The Last Paycheck

Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 October 2026

This policy explains what happens with data when you visit playthelastpaycheck.com and play The Last Paycheck. In short: your game stays on your device, and we only count visits if you say yes.

Who is responsible

My Insights Games, Switzerland

Email: info [at] playthelastpaycheck [dot] com

Your game stays on your device

You do not need an account to play. Your saved game, settings, language, trophies, past lives, the notes you write, and the figures you enter in “My real life” are stored only in your browser’s local storage, on your own device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.

You can delete all of it at any time in the game, under Settings, “Erase all data”, or by clearing your browser’s site data.

Visit statistics, only with your consent

On your first visit, the game asks whether we may count visits with Google Analytics. If you say no, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. If you say yes, it helps us understand how many people play and how the game is used, so we can improve it.

With your consent, Google Analytics collects information such as the pages you view, your approximate location (country or region), your type of device and browser, how long you stay, and a few moments in the game: starting a life, getting out of the race, finishing a life, changing the language, sharing a life card and opening a link to Joanna Prescott’s books. It sets cookies whose names start with “_ga” to recognise repeat visits. We do not collect your name, your email or the figures you enter in the game.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC. Data may be processed by Google outside Switzerland and the European Union, including in the United States. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy.

You can change your choice at any time in the game, under Settings, “Visit statistics”. When you turn it off, the Google Analytics cookies are removed from your browser.

Hosting

This site is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland. Like any web server, it may briefly record technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request and your browser type, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

No other tracking

The game does not show ads. Its fonts, images and sounds are served from this site. If you click a link to another site, such as joannaprescott.com, that site’s own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation, you can ask us what data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You can also object to its use. Write to the address above. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
